Dear Sir/Madam,

Kenya has the greatest proportion of people living under the poverty line, and their children attending public schools and Nakuru County is no exception. Over 13 million Kenyans live on less than $1 a day. We’ve seen women walking miles to fetch a day’s worth of dirty water, and we’ve seen children dying from preventable diseases because their family couldn’t afford, or didn’t have access to health care. These are blatant violations of their basic human rights. But fortunately, you can help!

Adopt a Loo Program was initiated by a passionate parents after visiting several schools and saw what our children go through while at school and took it to herself to clean and provide water through her business  Contrite L’ AfriQueen sanitation which has been cleaning public school toilets and providing them with water for the past four years. Our hands-on this noble course is to innovate, integrated an approach, that is determined by the needs of our children in public schools who have no toilets or those that are available are not enough due to the high population; or are not in good working conditions. We call you to come and work in ensuring a relative and long-lasting solution. The spheres of our children needs that we are focusing on are: food, water, education and health. By supporting Adopt a Loo Program with tools, building materials, water tanks or monetary value and organized work at no charge we can provide free and effective services to the most stricken public schools in our county in need.

We are encouraging local businesses to join us in our “$12000 by the 10th” challenge! If we meet our goal, we can: 1) send our team in school that have already been identified with better toilets to renovate them, 2) begin to establish teams of volunteers to lead sustainable development projects and, 3) continue conversation and planning with local community leaders about forthcoming initiatives. You can help us raise $120,000 by April 15th in one of the following ways:

 
• Allow 5% of a day’s profits to be a tax-deductible contribution to Adopt-a-Loo Program.

 

• Display a donation jar and an M-changa account that we will provide.

 

• Become a sponsor by making a tax-deductible contribution
